Nigel Winterburn played almost 700 hundred games and was part of the legendary Arsenal defence with Dixon , Adams & Bould. If they had them now they'd be close to Champions.
He was actually defence coach at Blackburn with Paul Ince. When Allardyce took over he sacked him as he believed he could handle the defence coaching himself

Maybe the PREMIERLEAGUE is not as good as you would believe and there are loads of players that are very average and loads of players that could make the step up.
Unfortunately managers like BFS keep peddling the myth that premierleague experience is an important factor - it keeps him and his cronies in work.

Winterburn - won trophies and long time member of one of the best ever defences in the premier league, ridiculous inclusion.
Carlton Palmer - not everyone's cup of tea and hardly one the most cultured player you'll see, however he got about the pitch quickly and broke up play well, no where near as bad as people make out Imo.
Don't know who cfs is.
